250ml ginger beer
½ cup brown sugar, firmly packed

1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
3 garlic cloves, crushed
1.5kg chicken wingettes

METHOD:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced). Mix all the ingredients, except the chicken, until evenly combined. Place the chicken into a large glass or ceramic baking dish and add the marinade. Toss to coat.

  2. Bake for 40 minutes, remembering to turn the chicken pieces halfway through. Serve hot or cold.

Sriracha is one of the best sauces of the 21st century. If you ever have an average dinner (whether it be burnt, boring or just plain bad) Sriracha is sure to make it at least edible! This crowd-pleasing dish is perfect hot or cold and best enjoyed with a beer whilst watching the football. Actually, I don’t like beer or football but my friends say they go well together!

“I don’t like beer or football but my friends say this dish goes well with both!”

“I dedicate this recipe to all the redheads out there!”
