Serves: 4
Easy
Time: 15 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

1 litre milk
4 Earl Grey tea bags
100g 70% dark chocolate, roughly chopped
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
¼ cup mini marshmallows

METHOD:

  1. Pour the milk into a medium saucepan. Connect the tea bags to the handle of the pot and steep while the milk comes to a gentle simmer over a medium heat. Remove and discard the tea bags once the milk has simmered for 5 minutes.

  2. Add the dark chocolate, brown sugar, cocoa powder and a pinch of salt. Mix with a balloon whisk until the chocolate has melted. This should only take 2 minutes.

  3. Divide between mugs and top with marshmallows to serve.

This is a good recipe for a double date but even better for 2 (seriously, why share?)

“The bergamot flavours in the tea make this hot chocolate almost floral—promise me you will try this!”
